One of the things I find interesting after the draft (hype up to it is a male version of a soap opera, but that's another topic) is who signs where as a free agent.
This link lists more information than I found on NFL.com.

Great Asterisks in Longhorn History
- October 7, 2000 - victory over Sooners*. If we wouldn't have looked ahead to Missouri, we would have taken the Sooners seriously.
- December 1, 2001 - Texas beats Colorado for Big 12 Championship*. If only Mack would have started Major Applewhite.
- December 29, 2000 - Texas beats Oregon in Holiday Bowl* (if the WRs could catch).
- January 2, 1984 - Texas wins national championship* (if Craig Curry catches a punt)
- October 1984 - Texas beats Oklahoma*. We just needed a couple more crappy calls to go our way, and we could have won.

Tshirts and some stolen thoughts
Ya know how companies make t-shirts for each participant, and they ship the incorrect ones to some remote economically devastated location. I think they should send the Michigan State, 2009 National Champions" shirts to Detroit. It'll save on shipping, the economic depravity is there, and the crime rate is close enough.
This article makes me think of a funny quote about Detroit when they were contemplating Native American casinos in Detroit, "In most places, building a casino in an area brings in crime and prostitution, but in Detroit, the infrastructure is already there." Detroit was rolling out the red carpet for this game.
